ND Fishing:

Nelson County

  • Lake Laretta: 2 miles west and 3 miles north of Michigan (pike, perch—no ramp)
  • McVille Dam:  1 mile east of McVille (pike, walleye, perch—fishing pier)
  • Silver Creek Dam: 4 miles west, .5 miles south of McVille (pike—no ramp)
  • Stump Lake: 12 miles south, 1 mile west of Lakota (perch, walleye, pike)
  • Tolna Dam: 1 mile south, 2 miles east of Tolna (pike, walleye, perch)
  • Whitman Dam: 1.5 miles north, 3 miles east of Whitman (pike, walleye, perch—fishing pier)


Ramsey County

  • Cavanaugh Lake: 9 miles north, 1 mile west, .5 miles north of Devils Lake (pike, perch—no ramp)
  • Devils Lake: Near the city of Devils Lake (pike, walleye, perch—fishing pier)  On Devils Lake, you can fish from the shoreline along the rip rap or head for deeper water.  The shore fishing is just as rewarding as being out on the lake.  Simply put, Devils Lake equals great fishing all year round!
  • Lake Irvine: 1 mile north of Churchs Ferry (pike, walleye, perch)
  • Morrison Lake: 3 miles east, 2 miles south of Webster (pike, perch—no ramp)
  • Sweetwater Lake: 7 miles north, .25 miles east of Devils Lake (pike, perch—no ramp)
